Does PPC (Pay per click) affiliate marketing still pay?

Sometimes called traffic brokering. A top favorite online business model is PPC (pay per click) affiliate marketing.

The PPC to affiliate marketing game is basically simple on the surface. The basic theory of it all is that you purchase traffic to a site for less money than the affiliate commissions that you make from that traffic - Pretty basic economics.

So in practice, you purchase traffic (hits) that send 1000 people to an offer online and it costs you 20 cents a click (so $200). If the merchant you are an affiliate of converts at an average of 2% you should end up with 20 sales. In a perfect world, the commissions earned from those sales pays more than the $200 you spent.

, but pay attention to the fine details. A few years back, it used to be fairly easy to make this happen. The issue now is more competition as well as tighter rules from the PPC companies and merchants themselves. Needless to say, it's a bit more challenging.

However, there is a a silver lining for people who can a grasp on how the business functions and find some nice niches to work within. Those that stick to it efficiently make six figures or more annually.

To key to making good profits, is discovering niches that work well and then working them for all they are worth.

Why not build an online home-business?

With a home-based web business you get the flexibility you need. The Net is open 24/7 so you can fit your business hours around your family schedule, if you want. Early in the morning before breakfast, during afternoon naptime or in the stillness of the night, you decide when you are going to work on your Web site.

An online business is the perfect way to do something for yourself and get paid for it! The positive effects will last much longer than a one hour spa treatment. And only your child's laughter will thrill you more than the tens, then hundreds, then thousands of visitors to your site, daily.

Choose a theme that speaks to you, that engages your mind and soul. And then build your business around it. You may already know what you want to do or you may need some time to figure it out. Perhaps it's been so long that you have forgotten what it is that you actually love to do!

Once you have that building block, what else do you need?
  • enthusiasm, motivation and creativity
  • the ability to work hard, learning as you go along
  • patience and forethought.

Just like raising a family, building a successful site takes time. Block by block, page by page, day by day. Slow and steady.

You also need a mentor or the right guidance and the right tools, at an affordable price. You don't have the time or money to waste on gimmicks or get rich quick scams. Whatever you spend money on, it must produce results.

If you're interested in getting started with your own online home-business I highly recommend taking a few minutes to view this video overview on key steps to take and how to avoid the common pitfalls.

Higher Education = Higher Income

Earlier today I read a pretty cool article about earning high 5 to 6 figure incomes without 6+ years of schooling... I was going to summarize it, but it's pretty short and reads nicely – here you go...
-------------------------
Big Bucks Without Big Debt
Earn $100K Salaries, No Advance Degree Required
by Grace Chen, FindTheRightSchool.com

Don't be afraid to fantasize about earning six figures. Doctors and lawyers aren't the only professionals in the $100K club. In fact, there are quite a few well-compensated professions that are open to bachelor's degree holders. Even if you don't quite reach those elusive six-digits, the following careers can offer a hefty paycheck without the decades of student loan payback that can come with a master's or doctoral program. Best of all, if you're open to relocating, each of the five professions below holds the possibility of hitting that magic number--if you're willing to choose your zip code with care.

Police Supervisor
The Job: As a supervising police officer you'd be in charge of overseeing subordinate officers, keeping records of your force's activities, and assigning duties to station personnel. The ability to exercise good judgment in intense and high-pressure situations is crucial for this job. You'll also have to be willing to work overtime as well as weekends and holidays to ensure the round-the-clock police coverage your community needs.

The Debt: The minimum requirement for police supervisors in many states is simply a high school diploma. Since you're new to the field, get a jump on competition by earning an associate's or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or law enforcement.

The Zip Code: Check out 12123, Nassau, New York, where first-line supervisors of police officers made an average salary of $113, 810 in 2007, close to $40,000 more than the national average.

Registered Nurse (RN)
The Job: All RNs, regardless of their focus, are responsible for providing medical care and education to patients and their families. If you're an adrenaline junkie, you could thrive as an emergency room nurse. Can't get enough of newborns? Consider a career in neonatology nursing.

The Debt: Take your pick from an associate's degree in nursing (ADN), a bachelor's of science degree in nursing (BSN), or a diploma program in nursing.

The Zip Code: While median earnings of RNs nationwide are nothing to sneeze at (close to $60,000 in 2007), nurses in San Jose, California (95101), banked an average of $95,580.

Computer Software Engineer
The Job: Software engineers focus on designing and developing computer software to meet the needs of the rapidly growing population of computer users worldwide. In addition to being one of the fastest-growing careers in the nation, this profession lends itself to telecommuting, an added perk if you don't want to leave home to find a higher-paying position.

The Debt: In 2006, eighty percent of all software engineers had at least a bachelor's degree. If you're an aspiring computer software engineer, check out degree programs in computer science or software engineering.

The Zip Code: Average wages for professionals in this field in Haverhill, Massachusetts (01830), were $106,270 in 2007, while nationally the average was $85,660.

Dental Hygienist
The Job: It may not seem glamorous, but keeping people's mouths clean is a practical career choice offering job security, high wages, and even some flexibility in scheduling. Strong interpersonal skills are a must for these professionals, who spend their days up close with their patients.

The Debt: At the bare minimum you'll need an associate's degree or certificate in dental hygiene to practice in a private dental office or clinic. Earning a bachelor's degree could help you compete for higher-paying jobs.

The Zip Code: Most hygienists earn a comfortable living regardless of their location -- the national average was just over $64,000 in 2007. Zip code 98221 (Anacortes, Washington) tops the list of high-paying cities, however, where hygienist salaries average $97,600.

Interior Designer
The Job: Although reality TV shows have created a generation of amateur in-home designers, professionals in this field work in spaces ranging from airports to schools. In addition to combining paint colors, fabrics, window treatments and light fixtures, interior designers must also be able to read blueprints, understand fire codes, and collaborate with architects and contractors.
The Debt: You'll need at least an associate's degree to land an entry-level position as an interior designer. In 23 states designers must be licensed.

The Zip Code: Average earnings for interior designers were just over $50,000 in 2007. Head for Grand Rapids, Michigan (49501), however, and you could make double that

You don't have to spend the next 10 years in school to make a comfortable salary. Choose your field of study and your future home with care and you could soon find yourself working your way to a six-figure paycheck.

The definition of insanity

A colleague of mine defined insanity as "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. "

I thought it was a very wise statement, no doubt. Then I learned that quote was originally attributed to Albert Einstein... Well duh! No wonder it speaks so well.

For years I found my self living the very rule of insanity with out being conscious of it – Woke up at 4:00am, headed off to the job site, worked for 9-10 hours, returned home dirty and exhausted only to repeat the procedure again the next day... week... month... You get the picture. Every other Friday I got my pay check, but always ran out of money before I ran out of month. My wife and I were good about not getting into too much debt, the flip side was we had no savings either.

After nearly a decade of this we realized it just was not working. Even when I held two jobs AND my wife was working, the returns didn't justify the means. Our children had no parents to come home to and when we were, we were too burnt out to have good quality time together. It was then I decided
it was time to do something different!

I tried my hand at the web and e-commerce. I successfully found several ways that didn't work! Back to the drawing board. I realized it's not about getting websites up in a day. I came to understand that a website is just a site, not a business. In order to succeed it needs to be approached as a business. I began with subjects I knew and enjoyed, that was important because people searching on the web are looking for sites with good content, it adds validity and credibility to your site and what you are saying.

Instead of reinventing the wheel, This site explains 4 simple phases of starting a web business:
  1. Create a compelling site
  2. Target your audience
  3. Promote - Build credibility and loyalty
  4. See it for yourself »
What I've stated above is really just my experience in a nutshell. There is no words to describe the feeling when you get your first check from a business you've started from scratch!

You've got to believe to achieve!

Entrepreneurs need to visualize success at all times, not failure. By visualizing success, your actions will become more confident. And increased confidence breeds success. Remember, customers or clients prefer to do business with people who are confident; knowing that buying their services and products will indeed help them. Visualize success to achieve success. Whatever your specific goal is, picture the scenario and see yourself acting successfully.

For instance, if your goal is to get venture capital for your company, imagine yourself presenting your business plan to a group of potential venture capitalists. See yourself making your presentation to the group. Picture yourself as confident, relaxed, knowledgeable. Go through the pitch in your head. See and hear your audience asking questions and answer them. Picture a successful outcome, such as, in this case, the audience wanting to invest in your company.

When you've finished running through this visualizing success exercise, you'll feel your confidence rising and feel more relaxed. Do this exercise every day, as many times as possible before the actual event.

In the example above, for instance, you might visualize this successful presentation for several weeks before the actual meeting. What will happen is that the image will become the reality. By imagining success, you will achieve success. When it comes time to make the presentation, you will be confident, relaxed, and knowledgeable - because you've already done it so many times - and have a much better chance at a favorable outcome.

Hokey? Sure. But it works. Achieving business success isn't just a matter of preparing plans and financial reports; you also need to prepare yourself to act and be successful, and visualizing success will help you do that.

Getting Google Ads For Free?

A new breakthrough secret is all you now need in order to get your Google AdWords pay-per-clicks FREE!

A gentleman from New York discovered what he calls an “oversight” on the part of 99.9% of all marketers that allows him to get otherwise paid-for advertising at Google as well as all other search engines that allow sponsored ads.

And no, nothing about his “secret” is illegal – nor does it require that you know someone on the “inside” at Google, Yahoo, MSN, Overture and others.

Instead, the New Yorker boasts proudly “…this is something that I caught onto just before 2000 when there was so much search engine craze running around, and started doing small just to test things at first … but which I later expanded on after getting the hang of it.”

This same fellow went on to start and operate sixteen separate online companies selling everything from pet food, DVDs, children’s toys & games, books, software, and sold not only his own manufactured products but became an affiliate for other web businesses – all the while applying his mastermind secret.

Over the course of nearly eight years the New Englander confesses “I’ve actually gotten over $87 million in advertising that using my secret I never had to pay for … and the largest share of which was more recently in Google pay-per-clicks as well as other forms of pad advertising at search engines … all of which I got for free …”

So powerful is his secret that he’s able to monopolize any niche online, and can always secure the top premium spots just above the usual organic results featured at most search engines.

He still has to set up an account with the search engines – but after applying his secret he is removed from having to pay for all the costs otherwise involved.

Again, nothing about his secret is either illegal or robs from the search engines.

One spokesperson from one of the most popular search engines said chuckling after being made privy to this amazing secret “Wow! Ha! This is really unique … and in my expert opinion it would only serve to enhance and bring more business to us at [name of search engine withheld for legal & confidentiality reasons] and not cause us to lose business in the slightest. Amazing!”

The northerner revealed that in this nearly eight years’ period of time since applying his secret he’s done well over $300 million in sales revenue with a most diverse line of products, and most recently in the last two years netted nearly $166 million after really “buckling down and pressing my secret to its fullest potential.”

Now to everyone else’s fortune, the city slicker is releasing his secret for getting an unlimited amount of pay-per-click ads to the general public. But he’s not promising any of us for how long.

A bit of an eccentric, the gentleman says “We’ll see just how long I can make it available before it saturates things.”

One famous public web guru pointed out that although this man may gain economically more so as a result of the publication of his secret “he’s already so amazingly rich that whether he continues or discontinues its sale will neither make nor break the man, but not grabbing it for yourself while it’s still available could prove disastrous for you as you may only have one chance, and a very limited one at that, to get this.”

It’s in a very easily readable format and is quickly and readily understood and mastered by anyone with even a 4th grade reading level.

While you’re there, why not scroll down and review for yourself the huge successes others are now having with this incredible breakthrough in targeted advertising now made freely available to the rest of us?

To your success,

-Richard
